Compassion in Action Society Compassion in Action is a pledge of Episcopal Charities supporters to donate a financial gift every month instead of one large donation. This funding guarantees that Episcopal Charities partner agencies can depend on a continuous source of donations from Compassion in Action participants. These monthly contributions fund organizations that help homeless and low income people find shelters and transitional housing, hot meals and groceries, counseling and job training, healthcare and mental health services, tutoring and after school care, ministry to the sick and dying, families struggling to get back on their feet from Fremont to Oakland, San Francisco and on the Peninsula, every day of the year. Episcopal Charities invests in organizations with low overhead, that can make big, long-lasting changes in peoples' lives with limited financial support. We leverage the power of charity by investing many donors' gifts together in carefully-researched programs to aid the most vulnerable and invisible residents in our area.
The mission of Episcopal Charities is to support new and existing nonprofit agencies in their effort to make a crucial difference in the lives of poor, oppressed and endangered individuals in need in the San Francisco Bay Area, regardless of their religious affiliation or practice. |
